How Cutting-Edge Technologies Will Impact Me?

“I know the future will come and cutting-edge technologies are supposed to bring dramatic changes for us, but I don’t know how these will impact me.”

This question was asked by my friend in 2018. At that time, many books about futuristic themes were filling the shelves in book stores around the world, with titles like “The Rise of the Age of AI,” “The Threat of Blockchain,” and “Jobs That Will Remain and Disappear in 2035.” While people could study these futuristic ideas, they often viewed them with fear, worrying that their future would negatively affect them, since the future is uncertain.

This phenomenon, which I call “Future Horror,” made people dread the future instead of embracing it. I realized this was a problem I needed to tackle. Without addressing this fear, people couldn’t have hope and dreams for their futures.

Creating Programs to Learn About Futures for Connecting Futures!

To tackle this challenge, I began by developing seminars tailored to the specific needs of my clients and their domains. My first futures seminar was for the members in charge of digital marketing and sales at my friend’s company, with the theme “How AI, Blockchain, and 5G Will Impact Future Marketing.” Thankfully, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive like below, more than I expected:

  • I have never attended such an easily understandable seminar on futures.
  • Before this, I never imagined how these technologies would impact me.
  • Although I’ve learned about these topics before, your seminar was the most user-friendly, as it focused on HOW these technologies will affect us (marketers).

This positive feedback transformed my confidence into conviction.
